Day 181 to 197: Avoiding The Subject

 




Time for a new mission statement. My goal for 2025 was to lose 100 pounds by 12-31-25 but I've failed miserably. At some point I need to pick myself up and try. A realistic goal at this point is 50 pounds by 12-31-25, so that is where I will start. When will I start ? I don't know .. do I need a "starting point" ? I don't. Every day that I don't "start" just adds to my misery. I plan to just take each day as it comes and do what I can to move closer to where I want to be. Life has changed and I haven't been able to adapt just yet.


Today is July 8th and I haven't written since July 1st. As if not writing is going to make a difference ! So what's been going on ? Not much. Spent July 4 at Rich & Barb's camp. It was a fun day. I spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday sitting on my ass watching tv and playing the slots. It was super hot so I had zero motivation to do anything, but I did manage to get some laundry done yesterday. I finished the laundry off today and that felt good ! I also put the dishes to soak so that I could get the kitchen cleaned up. After that I checked in on my accounts and filed for my last unemployment payment. I'll miss that $441 a week and it will suck to have to start using my savings again, but I'll survive.


July 18 update:


Well, haven't written in a while again ! I last wrote on July 8, which was a Tuesday. Highlights of the last 10 days are rock & roll bingo on 7-9 and 7-16. Kim won both nights ! On Friday July 11 I went to the Mets game with Rich & Barb. It was hot but we had a good time ! It was a great game because they pulled off a come from behind win ! I spent all my free time the past 10 days doing what I've been doing for over a year: sitting on my fat ass watching tv and playing the online slots. I did, however, start playing some Cookie Jam so I'm at least challenging my brain more ! Tomorrow I'm going to "Tea Time" the public library with Kim, Michelle and Lauren. That will be interesting. I have to be up early because I need to be at Kim's house by 9:30.

Day 12: Already Over Winter

  Here we go ! It's a new year. Time to get back on track with diet and exercise. The goal is 100 pounds by 12-31-25. Can I do it ? Well, I won't know unless I try. My original Day 12 blog can be found  here . My original Day 12 was unremarkable as the plumbing issues were resolved and I went to work. I am all for a drama free day ! I woke up just before 9 and it's a chilly but snow free day ! It was 20 when I got up and the high for the day is only 25. At least it is not snowing ! There were no stray cats again today, so I just replenished the dry food. I can see they've been eating it, so hopefully it is sustaining them through this weather. Breakfast was 180 calorie Eggo waffles with sugar free syrup. I didn't have a yogurt, morning snack or afternoon snack. Lunch was pizza. Calories unknown and tomorrow will be the final slice !
