Today's quote is SO me ! I spend too much time "wishing" and not enough time actually "doing" !! 


So to catch up, I never did get on the treadmill Friday. I let the day slip away and once it got into the evening I was too tired. Yesterday was the Swiftie boat cruise and I had to leave the house at 2:20 so I didn't exercise. I could have .. I just chose not to because I am still beyond lazy ! Anyhow, the boat cruise wasn't really my thing. A bunch of crazy women screaming TS songs at the top of their lungs and dancing around like fools was less than enjoyable. I prefer a a quiet and relaxing cruise. I guess I'm getting old ! I enjoyed spending time with Michelle, Kim and Lauren and that was all that mattered. After the cruise we had mexican food at San Miguel in Baldwinsville. I had the fajita quesadilla with chicken and it was enormous ! It was chicken, onions & peppers inside a homemade tortilla. There was a TON of meat ! It also came with refried beans, a bit of lettuce & cheese and some rice. It was delicious and I brought half home. I also had an enormous margarita (24 oz) and that was not a smart move. I was clearly feeling it when we left the restaurant and when I got in my car to drive home from Kim's house, I knew I was intoxicated. Honestly, I didn't like the way I felt and I'm lucky to have made it home without incident. It was hours before the "high" wore off. I went to bed shortly before 11 and went right to sleep. I got up to pee 2 or 3 times, which I never do, and got up for the day about 9 am. I was awake around 8 but I gave Minnie some cuddles and got started with Jackpot World before I got up. It's 3:16 pm now and all I've done today is shower, watch YouTube and play the online games. I also cooked a bag of small potatoes that have been sitting on the counter for several weeks. I noticed some were starting to spoil so I picked out the bad ones and cooked the rest. I'm going to freeze them in small packages.


We had rain all morning yesterday but by the time the cruise rolled around at 4 pm the rain was long gone. It was cloudy but there was no wind, so we didn't freeze. I brought my blanket but didn't need it. Today started out gloomy but the sun came out in the afternoon and I was able to open the front door and let Minnie go out on the porch to enjoy the sun. It's only 63 but we'll be back in the 70's by Tuesday. There is no rain in the forecast for the next week and it looks like we'll have a lot of sun. I will take that ! I'm really hoping we have a "dry" winter with very little snow. I don't think I can take another winter like the last one.

  Time for a new mission statement. My goal for 2025 was to lose 100 pounds by 12-31-25 but I've failed miserably. At some point I need to pick myself up and try. A realistic goal at this point is 50 pounds by 12-31-25, so that is where I will start. When will I start ? I don't know .. do I need a "starting point" ? I don't. Not much. Spent July 4 at Rich & Barb's camp. It was a fun day. I spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday sitting on my ass watching tv and playing the slots. Day 159: The Sun Returns

  Time for a new mission statement. My goal for 2025 was to lose 100 pounds by 12-31-25 but I've failed miserably. At some point I need to pick myself up and try. A realistic goal at this point is 50 pounds by 12-31-25, so that is where I will start. When will I start ? I don't know .. do I need a "starting point" ? I don't. Every day that I don't "start" just adds to my misery. I plan to just take each day as it comes and do what I can to move closer to where I want to be. Life has changed and I haven't been able to adapt just yet. I'm going to try taking it one day at a time. That means not rehashing what I did or didn't do yesterday, last week, last month, etc. I have to focus on the here and now. So far, today has been a good day. It's 12:54 and I'm going to put on my shoes and hit the treadmill. I feel good today physically and mentally. I was up around 7:30 thanks to Minnie. She seems to wake me up so that she can take over ...

Day 174 through 180: Still Trying !

We had fun and that's what it's all about. Thursday I went to Walmart because I was nearly out of cat food and needed a few other things.
